Sandqvist 111 is a dark nebula. It is part of a large emission nebula, ESO 210-6A in the constellation of Vela. The image includes the dark nebula Sandqvist 112 and TGU H1713. The reflection nebula vdBH16, though visible, is somewhat de-emphasised in this predominantly H-alpha derived rendition. The image was completed using data from a remote hosting facility in Chile and is part of the “Flaming Sky” series: Showcase.
