Sh2 301 (or RCW6) is a phenomenal, if somewhat overlooked, Nebula in the southern hemisphere. Narrowband data from a Planwave CDK24 has been combined to produce this dramatic interpretation, where H-alpha has been mapped to Red, S-II to Yellow and O-III to Blue. It lies approximately 13,000 light-years away in the constellation of Canis Major.
